The conjuring (Review by intermediate English students)

This movie is about the story of the Perron family. A family composed by mom, dad and five daughters who have just moved to a house in the middle of the forest. Soon they realize that the house is haunted because paranormal things start to happen.

Noises are heard, there are disgusting smells, the clocks stop at three in the morning, the mom wakes up with marks on her skin, the daughters are disturbed in different ways and every day gets worse, the dog appears dead, and the apparitions of demonic creatures begin. Finally they decide to look for help, the mom seeks the warren. They are a couple dedicated to the investigation of paranormal things.

In the development of the movie we want to see the first appearing from the witch when the mom and one of the girls were playing and the witch claps, Mrs. Warren discovered that in the house lived a witch who killed her son to pay a tribute to the devil then they hanged the witch and now the witch posseses women to make them kill their children.

Then the Warren ask to the priest to do an exorcism, but they are rejected. Everything gets complicated when the witch vomited in the mom and possesses her. The most exciting part of the film is when the Warren’s perform an exorcism without being authorized by the Vatican on Caroline (mother of the Perron family).

Later they manage to expel the witch who had possessed Caroline.

The Perron family moves out of that house and the Warren’s protect the music box in the room where they keep the objects used in the dark rituals.
