My policeman (movie review by intermediate english students)

MY POLICEMAN

The story begins when an ambulance arrives at marion’s house and leaves patrick, an old man in a wheelchair who needs care due to a stroke that suffered… marion agreed to take care of him but tom, her husband, disagreed. Marion lights a cigarette and as she sees tom get home come memories of when they were young, tom was a policeman and marion was a teacher, they had very different tastes so while tom taught marion to swim she recommended books and spent time together at the pool and in the library.

One day tom meets patrick who worked in a museum. Patrick invites tom to the museum and he goes, then takes marion since she is who enjoys art. From that moment the three characters begin to date. Marion and patrick share a taste for art, they have many things in common, but marion is in love with tom, although they have nothing in common, she doesn’t care, she knows that her person is tom.

One day patrick leaves the city and gives a key to his house to tom, so tom takes marion since he knows that he would like all the art that there was in that house, that is where they confess the feeling they have for each other and tom proposes to marion then marion accepted and they got married soon. After tom had to go with patrick on a trip and that’s where they showed their love the most because they are lovers tom and patrick had a connection when patrick was going to paint tom and they kissed from there they started a romance but one day the police took patrick away and nobody knew why but the judge explained to them that someone tipped off the museum that patrick and tom were having a relationship on the sly and as it was the late nineties that was frowned upon so he put patrick in jail and they decided to stay away from each other.

Tom had a secret relationship and as it was the late nineties that was not well seen so he put patrick in jail and tom and marion decide to move away.

After a few years we are back to where the movie started only that marion after so long understands that patrick and tom love each other and after patrick suffered a lot in jail he managed to be happy with tom in his last moments.
